Managing Trustee of the hostel is the President of Ashoka Sangha and all students are members. A general body meeting is held every year in which the secretary and committee members are elected to run the activities of the association successfully and effectively.

Ashoka Sangha arranges lectures by eminent scholars, famous personalities in various fields – through which the student’s thoughts and views are streamlined and make them useful and better citizen of the country. It conducts debates, essay contest, sports, music etc. to bring out the hidden talent of the students and develop their skills in extracurricular activities.

The students of SRI.B.K.Mariappa hostel organise & participate in different inter hostel competitions and have won prizes by exhibiting their capability & talent bringing laurels to the the Ashoka Sangha.

In the field of education they are second to none. They are dedicated & excel in studies by topping in their examinations.

The membership fees collected by the association are used for the purchase of the essential books and the balance is carried forward to the next year for the new incumbents. In addition, old students also extend their support for library improvement and maintenance

Old students of the Ashoka Sangha also contribute towards scholarship for the needy & eligible merit students. This generous act by seniors is simply laudable for their support to enrich the students in academics and extracurricular activities.

Those who pass out with distinction are felicitated and given awards for their efforts, nd have brought name & fame to the hostel and Ashoka Sangha.

Students participate in “SHRAMADAN” to do their bit of cleaning the premises and looking after the garden on Sundays.

Students thank the almighty for given this opportunity. Prayers are done every day during the dinner time.

All important festivals are performed including those of national importance – Independence Day, Republic day and state formation day – Karnataka Rajyosthava. Each and every student takes part in all festivals with full joy & enthusiasm as if they are celebrating at home.

At the end of the year, CULTURAL PROGRAMME is arranged. Student’s exhibit their talent in Music, Drama, Dance & other activities with full of joy and happiness bringing in the festive atmosphere during the program for the guest & audience. Every member of Ashoka Sangha feels pride for all round progress and development. Students extend the warm gratitude for the encouragement and support given by the board of trustees, Ashoka Sangha committee members, staff & old boys association.
